Details This is for those who would like to come and learn in Edinburgh for the festival season. In August each year, International festivals and Fringe festivals are held here. There will be much entertainment such as dance, theatre, comedy and the internationally famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo featuring in different venues around the city. This energy will be used in the classroom with a specially designed Festival Course. This runs in August. The course is similar to the English Focus course with general English learning in the morning and workshops that focus on the Edinburgh festivals taking place in the afternoon. On past occasions, students have worked on and presented performances, led guided tours, produced festival documentaries, among other things as a way to show off their newly learnt language skills and confidence. The Social and cultural programme is available for students, where eight activities will be open every week. This course is particularly ideal for people interested in literature and performance art as it offers complete cultural involvement. The students' book is recommended for those undertaking the three-week programme so that they have the chance to experience the festival comprehensively.

Details: A homestay is an advantageous option as it offers more towards language practice than other options. Students can use newly learnt English skills to communicate with the hosts and local people and get involved with the local culture. The hosts of the Homestays are chosen carefully in terms of their personalities. They welcome the students and facilities provided inside the homes. Mealtime will usually be together with the other family members, and the living space will be shared. Students will be provided with a single room, breakfast and dinner each day and a quiet place when you need to study. The homes are located about 30 minutes from Edinburgh in suburban areas. For students under the age of 18, this is the only option available to them due to safety and welfare reasons.

Details: This is only available during the summer, and there is more than one location for residential accommodation. This is preferable for students over the age of 18 who require independent living. Students will be provided with a single room, and ensuite bathroom shared kitchen facilities and common areas. A majority of these options are walking distance from the school.

Canal point (self-catered summer residence)
This residence is located in the Tollcross area, about 20 minutes on foot to the school. And 15 minutes from the centre of the city and its attractions. There are many social gathering spots in the area of the residence, including shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. In the vicinity, there is also Union Canal and Meadows Park.
