- This course is developed for students who want to gain more in-depth knowledge of German by reading, speaking and writing about literature.
- You will read a book together with the teacher – a chapter for chapter.
- After a first online session, an ambitious reading project will be suggested (according to your level from advanced intermediate to very advanced). This may be a recently published novel, but also a work of classical German literature, philosophy, or a text from your particular field in science, art, or whatever.
- Exercises on grammar and vocabulary, based on the text, will help you discover and memorize new words and expressions or some unique clues of the German grammar.
- You will also receive some further reading, pictures, or other kind of information to make you understand the cultural background of the text.
- The conversation with the teacher about your reading will allow you to practise German, using maybe some more sophisticated expressions.
- You will also write some short essays to improve your writing skills.
