Studying at the American High School leads to the prestigious High School Diploma, which gives students excellent prospects to enter a US university. The Diploma Programme is focused on students' personal and intellectual development so that they can achieve their goals. Each student is strongly recommended to confer with their counsellor periodically to discuss academic and personal progress. For students needed to enhance their English skills, the school offers diverse English courses as a part of the Diploma Programme. They include:

• College Prep ELL 1 (1 credit, full year)
• College Prep ELL 2 (1 credit, full year)
• ELL Speaking and Listening (1 – 3) (1 credit, full year)
• ELL Grammar (1 – 3) (0.5 credit, one semester)
• ELL Support (Grades 9 – 12) (0.5 credit, one semester)
• ELL TOEFL/SAT Prep (1 credit, full year)
• College Prep ELL 3 (1 credit, full year)
• ELL United States History (1 credit, full year)
• ELL Sheltered Biology (1 credit, full year)

Students who have completed their Diploma Programme can proceed directly to the university. The Gilbert School is an excellent starting point to the best universities in the country.
