Global Pathways Program is suitable for students who would like to increase your language level and knowledge and get an opportunity to enter a foreign higher educational institution. You will combine Intensive English courses with preparation for university study. Your learning will be concentrated on expanding your academic vocabulary, making classroom presentations, writing summaries, essays and reports and improving your listening skills. If you complete the Global Pathways Program successfully and get a Certificate of Achievement, you will be ready to enter one of the universities or colleges. We will guide you through the process of admission. We will prepare your academic report and the letter of recommendation. As s bonus, if you select one of our partner universities, you should not pay an application fee and take the TOEFL or IELTS exams. This program will give you excellent career prospects.
Eight steps to pathways:
Minimum Level: Upper-Intermediate, if required, you can take the General English Course to reach Upper-Intermediate. Semi-Intensive program - includes 24 lessons, comprised of 20 lessons of English for Academic Purposes (EAP), plus 4 individual English lessons for Academic Purposes Workshops. Intensive program - includes 30 lessons, comprised of 20 lessons of English for Academic Purposes (EAP), plus 4 lessons of English for Academic Purposes Workshop, and 6 lessons of any elective classes offered by EC Toronto or EC Vancouver. Start Date: every 5 weeks
In the USA, you are offered to study in a community college. It is a two-year school as a pathway to a four-year degree. A community college differs from a university. They are less expensive. Community colleges are not selective, so it is easy to enter. You will get an Associate’s Degree. Besides, you can take the 2+2 Agreement programme where students study for 2 years at a community college and 2 years at a university and earn a 4-year bachelor’s degree.
You can decide for homestay accommodation. Living with an English-speaking host family allows you to get to know the American way of life and traditions while at the same time improving your language skills. Host families include single people, couples, parents with children and single-parent families. Houses are various: single standing homes, apartments or multifamily homes.

East Boston is located across the Boston Harbour from downtown Boston. It consists of four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a comfortable common area and a shared kitchen with modern appliances.
North End is situated in the oldest neighbourhood of Boston in a walking distance to EC School. There are four bedrooms: one shared room, two single rooms and one ensuite.
You have an opportunity to book a transfer. Two students travelling together may share the cost of a transfer to the same address.
