WELCOME TO CARL DUISBERG COLOGNE
Carl Duisberg Centre is a high-quality service provider in the areas of international training and qualifications. Life-long learning is central to its promotion by providing students with professional language courses, intercultural training, beautiful experiences abroad and work-related training. The school has locations in four different parts of Germany, with each city having its character and history. These locations are Berlin, Cologne, Munich and Radolfzell on Lake Constance. Participants choose if they would like to study in one area of Germany or change to a different city.
The courses provided are aimed at all age groups and life stages, from students exploring the world for the first time to professionals who would like to improve their skills for future employability. The school also has a widespread network to serve customers wherever they may be around the world.

LOCATION
The city’s most famous landmark is the Cologne Cathedral which has been a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site since 1996. The city has a long tradition of arts and culture but also a very modern approach.
Carl Duisberg Training Centre is located on the outskirts of the city centre. The school consists of 17 classrooms, with most of them having air conditioning and a language lab. The cafeteria offers a vending machine with hot and cold drinks and snacks. Two microwaves are available for the students’ use. The students can eat a warm lunch, which is available from Monday to Thursday each week.
MAJOR SIGHTS NEARBY
The school is a short walk to the Rhine, the famous Cologne Cathedral, the fantastic sights of the historic district, and the shopping zone. Public transport is within reach with subways and rail stations. Cafes are available in the vicinity.

The leisure program is included with the total cost of the German course. Depending on the activities, additional fees may apply.
Group Activities
There are group activities offered to students every week. This is focused on the exploration of Cologne while making friends and using German outside of the classroom. Students can take part in many activities, such as visiting museums, sporting events, guided tours, and enjoying meals with fellow students.
Sports and Excursions
Barbeques and picnics are usually organised in one of Cologne’s many parks during the summer period. Bicycle tours are also held along the Rhine along with half or full-day excursions. These include the Rhine river cruise, wine tasting in the Moselle or Ahr region. Sometimes it is possible to visit a neighbouring country such as the Netherlands or Belgium.
