LOCATION

The Canterbury School is operated by ‘King’s School’, one of the most respected colleges in the UK. This school was founded in 597 AD, which makes it the oldest school in England.

The school consists of modern residences and facilities for recreation. This is combined with the classic medieval look of the school grounds making this a wonderful experience. The lessons will be held in Canterbury Cathedral, and the accommodation will be on the site of St Augustine’s Abbey, which is within walking distance.

This destination provides something for both older and younger students. The older students will have a feel of a boarding school-style experience while the younger students will feel safe due to regular supervision. The school sports facilities are also within reach, and they include modern facilities and equipment which is always available to students.

MAJOR SIGHTS NEARBY

Canterbury is a historic cathedral city, home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Anglican Church. The prominent landmark of the city and its symbol is Canterbury Cathedral. St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church are also spectacular sights, and together with the Cathedral form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cathedral Precincts are worth exploring, especially Green Court.
As for museums, the Canterbury Roman Museum and the Kent Museum of Freemasonry reflect the history of the old city.
