UCLA is one of the famous colleges in California. It is located in the centre of Los Angeles is an excellent student neighbourhood.


MAJOR SIGHTS NEARBY


Los Angeles is one of the top travel destinations in the USA. Universal Studios Theme Park is one of them. There you will find the exciting movie and TV-themed rides and sets such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Simpsons, Transformers, The Walking Dead, The Jurassic World, and others. A must-see place in LA is Hollywood. Don’t lose your chance to visit the hillside Hollywood sign, Hollywood Boulevard, the Walk of Fame, and the Chinese Theatre. Griffith Park is the biggest park in California where you can go to the Los Angeles Zoo, the Griffith Observatory, a planetarium, and a Greek theatre. A world-famous attraction Disneyland is located just outside Los Angeles.

Los Angeles has many marvellous museums, such as the LA Country Museum of Art, California Science Center, the Getty Museum. A common beach destination is the Santa Monica Pier.
On weekends, you can travel to neighbouring cities to see its highlights: San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, or Yosemite.


AVAILABLE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMES


The highly qualified staff organises engaging cultural and leisure time activities to entertain you during the day and weekends. Students are offered to participate in multiple excursions, a large number of school events where you can practice their language skills. Each program is well organised. There is no time to be bored. A large number of entertainment and sports activities are provided for students.
All students go on three full-day activities every two weeks. They are offered to visit different attractions, for example, Disneyland or Santa Monica Pier.
Everyday activities are aimed at making friends, practising the English language, and developing essential life skills. The Academy provides four-afternoon activities a week. Besides, there are numerous evening entertainments: swimming tournaments, residence tournaments, sport, local visits, art nights, boys and girls nights, karaoke, discos, talent shows, the Academy Carnival, games. Excursions take place every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.


ACCOMMODATION


Students are accommodated in the student residence located in the campus area. The apartment consists of twin bedrooms with a communal bathroom. Twin standard and multi-bedded rooms are available upon request. They are supervised by Residence Advisors. The accommodation has the necessary facilities: laundry, weekly cleaning, Wi-Fi.
