Portsmouth is a lively destination filled with a lot of attractions to visit. Gunwharf Quays is a fantastic place to relax after a day of studying. It is a shopping centre with bowling alleys, cinemas, bars, cafes and nightclubs. Located in Gunwharf Quays, the iconic Spinnaker Tower offers beautiful views across the whole city, including “Old Portsmouth”, the oldest part of the town.
There are numerous museums and art galleries in the city. Two of them are devoted to such outstanding people as Charles Dickens and Arthur Conan Doyle. Charles Dickens’ Birthplace Museum and Portsmouth City Museum are worth a visit. Moreover, tourists can go to the Royal Naval Museum, the Mary Rose Museum, the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and D-Day Museum.
Southsea is a popular cultural and social suburb of Portsmouth which boasts a beautiful promenade. Here tourists can go to Southsea Castle, which contains many exhibits connected with the city’s history from Tudor times to the Victorian era.

AVAILABLE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMES
The highly qualified staff organises engaging cultural and leisure time activities to entertain students after classes and weekends. They are offered to take part in multiple excursions, a large number of school events where they can practice their language skills. Each programme is well organised. There is no time to be bored. A large number of entertainment and sports activities are provided for students. Everyday activities are aimed at making friends, practising the English language and developing essential life skills. The schedule may vary. During some weeks, groups will have morning lessons and afternoon activities, whereas other weeks’ groups may have afternoon lessons and morning activities.
The company is aimed at creating an ideal learning environment to help students to develop six essential life skills: creativity, teamwork, confidence, communication, problem solving and exploration. The activity programmes are designed to ensure the elaboration of these skills.

ACCOMMODATION
Students are accommodated in single en-suite rooms in Rees Hall. Meals are served in a canteen.
