Montreal is a colourful bilingual city filled with European charm and a beautiful mix of English and French culture. Montreal is on the southwest of the province of Quebec. The municipality covers the most of the Island of Montreal at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers. In Montreal, students can study at a local college.


MAJOR SIGHTS NEARBY


Montreal’s rich history and its status as North America’s only bilingual city make it a tourist delight. There is a colourful collaboration between English and French culture and traditions.
One of the famous landmarks of the city is Old Montreal, where you can see remarkable buildings dating from the 17th – 19th centuries. In this district, you can visit the Pointe-a-Callier Museum of Archaeology and History, the twin-towered Notre-Dame Basilica, the Old Port and others. Place Jacques-Cartier is a lively public square in Old Montreal where you can find historic architecture, beautiful gardens and restaurants.
There are numerous museums in Montreal, which are worth visiting, such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the McCord Museum and Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal. The Oratoire Saint-Joseph is Canada’s patron saint. It is the biggest church in Canada.


AVAILABLE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMES


The highly qualified staff organises engaging cultural and leisure time activities to entertain students after classes and weekends. They are offered to take part in multiple excursions, a large number of school events where they can practice their language skills. Each programme is well organised. There is no time to be bored. A large number of entertainment and sports activities are provided for students. Everyday activities are aimed at making friends, practising the English language and developing essential life skills. Events are organised in evenings and afternoons.
The company is aimed at creating an ideal learning environment to help students to develop six essential life skills: creativity, teamwork, confidence, communication, problem solving and exploration. The activity programmes are designed to ensure the elaboration of these skills.

ACCOMMODATION


Student Residence
Students are accommodated at the Grey Nuns student residence, a part of Concordia University in standard twin rooms with shared bathrooms. The apartment is available only for groups. There is a communal space on the dormitory floor of the residence building.
The accommodation has necessary facilities:

Homestay
Students are housed in homestay accommodation. Living with a host family let students know the Canadian way of life and traditions while at the same time improving their language skills. The interaction with a family helps students to communicate and practice their language in a more relaxed environment. Students live in single/twin or triple rooms with shared bathrooms. Each room contains a bed, a desk, a wardrobe and a chair. It takes 60 minutes to get to the College from the accommodation.
