The Castle dates back to the early 12th century. The other famous historical landmarks in Oberwesel are the churches and abbey ruins: St. Martin’s Church, Wernerkapelle and Liebfrauenkirche.

DID Summer School in Oberwesel provides students with fascinating everyday activity programmes, which are included in the price of the course. You are offered to take part in sports entertainment: soccer, volleyball or basketball. Here you can have a barbeque and play table tennis or billiard. On Saturday, DID staff organises day trips to the Loreley or the cities of Mainz, Bingen or Koblenz. Besides, for those students who like swimming, there is an indoor swimming pool.
